What does the Course aim to achieve?
Mental health and wellbeing issues are causing huge issues within organisations, particularly for managers of teams. Long term sickness, mental health issues, menopause, neurodiversity – all of these are requiring greater support from managers, who are supported by their HR team in turn.
This course aims to provide a safe space for HR teams to discuss how to have great wellbeing conversations with team members who are struggling, to support managers to have these and to review escalation points and points of next support. The course comes with tailored case studies and/or the addition of forum theatre.
Learning Outcomes
- Building proactive approaches to wellbeing such as wellness action plans and team stress risk assessments
- Learn to hold conversations with someone struggling without fear of making it worse, being intrusive, getting it “wrong” or landing up in a tribunal - using our simple ABCD mnemonic
- Learn about boundary setting and signposting with your organisation
- Learn the importance of role modelling and managing your own resilience
- Building confidence using case studies
