What does the Highfield Mental Health First Aid Course aim to achieve?

Become a workplace wellbeing ambassador or first aider for mental health with an internationally recognised mental health first aid qualification, accredited by Highfield.

A workplace wellbeing ambassador is not clinically qualified to assess, diagnose or treat mental ill-health but they will have the basic tools to listen to individuals who require first response support for their mental health and to signpost them for further support.

This training course can be taken as 2 days face-to-face (plus an optional exam for the qualification) or 5 x 90 minute online sessions (with an optional 60-minute exam for the qualification).  Both options come with home study also.

We can deliver the MHFA England 1 and 2 day courses. However, we are featuring Highfield instead because:

  • They are tailorable
  • They can lead to a qualification
  • They are workplace related
  • They can be delivered internationally

Learning Outcomes

Note this is a two-part qualification with the first part being Highfield Introduction to Mental Health Awareness and the second part being Introduction to First Aid for Mental Health.

As both parts have to be taken, the timing (5 x 90 minutes plus exam of 60 minutes) incorporates both courses.

Learning outcomes for First Aid for Mental Health part of the course are as follows:
