With a highly traditional and process-driven approach to health and safety, the idea of health and wellbeing as part of the overall HSE sphere can be controversial.
Some say it sits firmly with human resources. Our working environments affect our physical and mental wellbeing; HR is responsible for framing those environments, therefore it is HR’s responsibility to look after our wellness.
On the flipside, HSE refers to the measures that are taken to ensure that the work environment is safe and the employees are feeling well.
It seems then, that there is a growing overlap between the responsibilities and it is down to both teams to work together to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff because there is real, tangible value in establishing closer links and a more collaborative approach.
Join our next webinar on Thursday 10th December, when we’ll bring professionals from both teams together, to discuss how Health and Safety and HR could be collaborating better to drive a big impact plus how to sell wellbeing to the c-suite and practical support for supporting your teams during these crazy times.
